Melanie Madden

Melanie Madden is the Chair of UArizona Staff Council and the Undergraduate Program Manager for Curricular Affairs. She earned an MFA in Creative Nonfiction at the University of Arizona in 2014 and taught English 101, 102, and 201 before joining the Colleges of Letters, Arts and Sciences (now the A Center) as an academic advisor in 2015. Throughout her decade at the University of Arizona Madden has been an active participant in shared governance, serving terms as the elected Secretary and Vice-Chair of the Appointed Professionals Advisory Council (APAC) before it merged with the Classified Staff Council (CSC) in 2021 to become UArizona Staff Council (UASC), representing all University Staff.
